Keryl Roberts

After leaving Westend Academy, I spent 3 years training in dance, specifically in contemporary, at the University of South Wales where I graduated with a bachelor in arts. Since graduating I’ve done a few smaller projects. I was part of a dance/movement exchange in Latvia, where I had the opportunity to work, dance and share my culture with people from Wales, Latvia and Finland.

My first job was then at the end of September and lasted through October in Thorpe Park where I was a Scare Actor for their Halloween event, Fright Nights. I was fortunate enough to be an actor in their newest maze, Survival Games, a maze where the theme was a game show where guests would have to try and “survive the games”. As an actor in this attraction I got to be an assassin, a victim and the presenter of the games. It was a completely new experience, different to everything I’ve done so far, but amazing nonetheless and I learned so many new skills.

In between jobs then, I helped students from my old university with a student film, in which they needed a dancer. Said film was about a fashion student fighting with her anxieties to finish an important project and the anxieties were portrayed through a mannequin coming to life, the dancer role was the mannequin.

Now, I’m working in my dream job in an open ended job in France as a Character and Parade Performer in Disneyland Paris after auditioning back in January 2023.
